Roofhare The sounds on this album are very intense, from very low rumbles that put the listener in touch with primordial roots, to persistent drones and glitch, to high crinkles and crackles that seem to conduct a conversation all of their own. Favorite track: transport station.

Sounds were collected from and around two Southside Hub Of Production sites in the Hyde Park neighborhood, one from the 53rd and Lake Park Spring 2010(The old Hollywood Video) and the other the Fenn House on 57th and Woodlawn Spring 2012.

Norman Long has been exploring analog synthesizers and improvising with them with field recordings since January 2016. Norman bought a Korg LittleBits synth kit from a radio shack that was going out of business in 2015. His initial interest was exploring ways he can incorporate this kit in installations with its clicks, drones and rhythms. Norman’s inspiration for these installations center around the work of Rolf Julius, Japanese gardens and African and Afro Caribbean Altars. In these recordings he creates sounds that are familiar yet strange as they weave in and out of the recordings.

For these sessions, Norman used arturia's microbrute analog synth, korg little bits synth kit, korg monotron delay, sony pcm m-10 and a behringer eurorack 602A mixer
